What do you like about Orchard Childcare?

  • Everything! My son (and me) loves this club. He doesn't want to go back to school but stay in the club forever (this is what he's saying 😊)

  • Softness and enthusiasm and pleasantness of staff. Kid-friendly, keen to help the children learn and enjoy themselves in a warm environment.

  • I love the staff- Kayleigh and Louise are great they really do know and understand our daughter and really make her feel safe and happy at Orchard. But all staff we have met are lovely. I like the range of activities that the children are able to access both term time and during the school holidays. I love the flexibility of being able to book a session if needed and that I am able to book sessions around after school clubs. Pricing is also very reasonable.

  • That it’s on the school grounds and convenient. Staff are friendly & approachable, and children are happy.

Is there anything you dislike about Orchard Childcare?

  • Nothing, all fab!

  • The space used for breakfast and after school club at St Mary's infant school because it seems small for the number of children taking part.

  • There is nothing I dislike about Orchard childcare. Although I wish pack lunches were allowed for all children but especially for those who really need it (my daughter e.g. is anxious about it and she would benefit from having her own food, unlike my son who also attends)

  • Yes, attendance is full for reception already before entering school, long waiting lists for after school club for reception

Feedback

  • Members of staff are very kind and reassuring towards the child if they get upset in the beginning of the day. The holiday club offers a great variety of activities.

  • All staff are very kind to Patrick and understand his needs/moods.

  • We brought Rhett, our 4 year old to Highview School Wallington in the half term in February and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere provided was relaxed, caring and thoughtful. Each day there were distinctly different activities but the sensitivity of the staff to making sure that kids enjoyed their day was noticeable and appreciated. Also, the playground and facilities were good as were the indoor activities in the classroom. Obviously at that time of year the weather is dodgy to say the least and the kids enjoyed their time inside which is a compliment to the staff. Loved it.

  • We love Orchard Childcare and are very happy with the service provided, thank you 😊

  • Super, Massimo loves it

  • Club is running really well, staff are very attentive to all children needs and have varied activities they can take part in.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Apart from packed food nothing really. The choice in foods is good, but there are children who would benefit from having own packed food (possibly more of a comfort)

  • The communication was not consistent in the beginning of the year, but it has definitely improved.

  • If we could find out what snacks having?

  • More spaces for reception after school club

  • Having early and late slots otherwise it isn't affordable when the student is taking the late bus
